Jennifer Durham – President
Jennifer was born in Washington DC and grew up in that surrounding area. She attended a private Christian college in Knoxville TN after graduating High School. She moved to Delaware in 1997 and is married to a native Delawarean and has two sons.
For the past 12 plus years she has been employed with the State of Delaware within the Finance and Business Department of DelDOT, Dept. of Correction and is currently the HR & Finance Manager at Providence Creek Academy (www.pcasaints.org). She also has a cosmetic business that offers natural based products that are cruelty free and made in the USA (www.youniqueproducts.com).
Since a very young age she was always volunteering through her local Church and community. She enjoys working in volunteer programs such as DAPI (Delaware Adolescent Program Inc.) where she has been a mentoring young ladies there going on three school years. She has also volunteered on political campaigns and serves as a founding board member of First State Military Academy in Clayton Delaware.
In her “spare time” her hobbies include family time, reading self-development books, exercising, traveling, attending gala’s, dancing, fashion and make-up!
Amber is a Delaware native and grew up in Smyrna, Delaware for majority of her life. She is a Smyrna High School graduate and a University of Delaware alumni. She currently works full-time as an Advertising Manager for the Delaware State News (www.delawarestatenews.net) and previously was employed by the Smyrna Opera House and iHeartMedia, Inc.
Amber is known for her charity work with the Smyrna Opera House, Smyrna Farmers Market, Belmont Hall, The Young Actors Guild, and now the Charitable Dames of Delaware. She enjoys giving back to her community that has given her so much to her through her childhood and now her young adult life.
In her “spare time” Amber enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, fur baby Milo, and family and friends. Her hobbies include enjoying the local dine/music scene, going to the beach, crafting, shopping, and watching tv in her pjs with a glass of wine!
Christine Bell – Marketing
Christine Bell grew up in Newark, New Jersey and moved to Delaware in 2003 where she met her husband while they both worked at Bank of America (formally known as MBNA). She moved to Smyrna, Delaware in 2004 and quickly fell in love with the community’s “small town” feel.
Moving to Clayton, Delaware with her family in 2011, Christine has volunteered numerous hours in the community through her children’s sports activities. She has been team mom for her son’s indoor soccer, outdoor soccer and Pop Warner football team. Also an active parishioner at Saint Polycarps in Smyrna, where she has volunteered her time with the children’s religious education program.
Christine has been married to her husband, Shawn, since 2006 and has 2 children: Tannin (age 8) and Victoria (age 3). Along with their 3 dogs (Gwen, Marty & Dawkins), the family keeps quite busy with family activities and sports. The family, as a whole, are HUGE Philadelphia Eagles fans.
When Christine is not running from practices to school events and Charitable Dames meetings, she enjoys working on her side business, Party With A Bell (www.partywithabell.com). It’s a promotional and invitation printing and designing company. The company designs promotional posters for local businesses and well as custom made invitations for any occasion.
Courtney Lane was born and raised in Delaware. She has been a Smyrna/Clayton resident for her entire life.
Courtney graduated from Smyrna High School in 2012. She is currently the night-time disc jockey on Delaware’s Country Station 94.7 WDSD (www.wdsd.iheart.com). Courtney has been working for WDSD for over 2 years, and in addition to her show which runs from 7 p.m., to midnight, she also broadcasts live from various locations and voices commercials.
Courtney interned at the Smyrna Opera House in 2013, working with communications and advertising. She is very excited to help the community once again by doing promotions for the Charitable Dames of Delaware.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, and playing the clarinet.
Kyna is an operations management, administrative services, and relationship building genius. Her ability to bring intuition and intimacy to business has her clients calling her the much-needed asset for taking their business to the next level.
She has simplified complicated business operations, created structure where there was chaos, and taught her clients how to delegate with ease. Kyna has won the Business on the Rise award, NAWBO Delaware Member of the Year, helped clients reach the 6 and 7-figure mark, and most importantly allowed the clients she is privileged to serve, the ability to work on what they do best!
