What does it mean to become a Dame?
A Dame is familiar with and believes in the mission of the Charitable Dames of Delaware. A Dame will donate at least two hours per month towards the mission of the Charitable Dames of Delaware in conjunction with its board members. She is a supporter of all things local. She is social, charismatic, and is considered an honorable woman among her peers. She values being a business women and household leader.
What benefits do I get if I become a dame?
Exclusive Updates – Receive exclusive updates on Charitable Dames events, acts of kindness, and vendor/sponsorship opportunities via email, social media, and on our web page.
CD Merchandise – Enjoy Charitable Dames of Delaware merchandise (t-shirts, bags, etc…) at a discounted price for your dedication as a member!
Dame of the Month– Each month the Charitable Dames of Delaware will highlight two ladies as “Dames of the Month” in their monthly Dames Newsletter. This is a great opportunity to showcase your photo and a biography about yourself and/or your business(s)/organization(s) you represent.
Nomination Opportunities – As a Dame you get the opportunity to nominate women, families, children, and seniors for Charitable Dames of Delaware mission goals through an application process. A Dame is allowed to nominate up to one entity (women, families, children, and seniors) based off the event and/or act of kindness being held to be reviewed for consideration. There is no limit on how many times a Dame can nominate per year ONLY per event.
Networking – Charitable Dames of Delaware is open to women networking at their events. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are available. Depending on event venue there will be certain cut offs on the amount of vendor spots available. Vendors are expected to sign and review the Charitable Dames of Delaware vendor application and turn in the appropriate fees. For more information please see a Charitable Dame Board Member for information about a specific event you may be interested in.
CD Committee Opportunities – The Charitable Dames of Delaware have a large mission but we don’t let that intimidate us because of the support we have from our members! As a Dame you are given the opportunity to be nominated by the CD board to sit on a committee for the Charitable Dames of Delaware. Committee examples would be a planning committee for an annual event, membership drive committee, our CD Guild who helps manage events/mixers and vendor opportunities at local events. This is a great way to get more involved and give back to your community!
